FAQ

Attila approaches the development of a website from a co-creation perspective, using the Dragon Dreaming project design method (https://dragondreaming.org/). While this process somewhat includes the industry-standard phases, such as Plan / Design / Develop / Test / Launch / Maintain, it also puts more focus on understanding your requirements, defining clear aims and vision, and communicating with each other. As a first step, Attila will send you a detailed questionnaire. The "dreaming phase" include questions helping you to reflect on your project/business, to define goals, and the way of our collaboration. In the "planning phase" we dig deeper on how to create your dream website, while in the "doing phase" we will actually create it, by writing texts, selecting photos, organizing them in the agreed layouts, and adding all the features to accommodate your future customers. The 4th phase is about "celebration", which not only includes the final launch of the website, but the reflection on the creation process and monitoring the achievements.

Every project is unique, and varies in complexity, hence the duration of creating your website depends on several factors. Do you already have a clear vision and aim regarding your website? Do you already have design elements (logo, color-style, etc?) ready to be used? How about the text and photos? Do you require a multilingual website and e-commerce features? Are you under time-pressure to launch your website? Based on Attila's previous experience, the process can take from a week to several months.

The short answer: Attila uses an hourly rate of working on your website, applying a sliding scale to accommodate sole traders and small businesses with less budget, while also counting on the generosity of people and businesses with larger budgets. The number of working hours depend on your requirements and the complexity of the website. In most cases, you also need to purchase a new domain name and pay for the hosting of your website (these are annual, recurring fees). In addition, you might decide purchasing copyright graphics, photos and videos to use on your website. Some website features (e.g. unique payment methods, CRM features, add-ons) might also have additional costs. Attila aims to use free, open-source technologies and will advice you several options to choose from in case a unique feature is requested.
